Abrams Creek Wetlands Preserve Nature Walks
Saturdays: Sept. 6, Sept. 20, Oct. 4, Oct.18.
When: 8:30am. Walks are about 2 hours.
Meet your Naturalist guide at the intersection of Jubal Early, Handley and Meadow Branch Ave. Canceled in inclement weather. Observe birds, bees, butterflies and flowers in this unique habitat. Easy, level walk on paved path. Bring water, camera, binoculars.
“How-To” Festival
When: Saturday, Sept. 27, 10-2pm.

Family event with demonstrations and information on “how to” do things you’ve always wondered about. Stop by our table to learn about birds and conservation in our area.
Lecture: Shenandoah River Concerns

Adopt-A-Highway
When: Saturday, Oct 4, 9-11am.
(Rain date is Oct 11)
Where: Lockes Landing
Trash pickup at Lockes Landing by the Shenandoah River and adjacent roads in Clarke County. Park/meet at the boat launch area. Bring work gloves and appropriate shoes. Safety vests and materials will be provided.
NATIVE PLANT FESTIVAL
When: Saturday, Oct 4, 10-2pm.
Where: Audubon Arboretum in
Jim Barnett Park, Winchester
Celebrate and learn about the benefits of native plants and flowers, trees, and pollinators. Visit with local conservation organizations, demonstrations, plants for sale, free trees. This community event is held at the Audubon Arboretum in Jim Barnett Park in Winchester.
50th Anniversary Tree Planting
Oct 4, 1:00pm. During the Native Plant Festival we will plant a donated tree within the Audubon Arboretum.

Oct 12, 2:00pm. We've donated a Willow Oak to Blandy Farm at the Virginia State Arboretum. Join us for a dedication ceremony in the Oak Plant Group section.
